The Managing Director is responsible for the successful leadership and management of the organization according to the strategic direction set by the Board of Directors.
Job details
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the organization and Site
- Lead strategic planning and support the organization’s mission and goals
- Manage programs, special projects, and seasonal staff
- Develop and implement organizational policies and procedures
- Oversee budgeting, financial management, fundraising, and donor relations
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and tourism industry organizations
- Represent the organization at meetings, events, and public activities
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, safety standards, and organizational policies
- Identify and manage operational and organizational risks
- Support the Board of Directors through communication, reporting, and meeting preparation
- Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Qualifications include a related university degree or college diploma and 5–10 years of progressive experience
- Preference will be given to applicants living in the local area
- Full-time salaried position with a starting salary of $65,000, based on qualifications and experience
